Shari and Buddy Higginbotham

Always lovers of old buildings, majestic Victorians, quaint farmhouses and of course old barns it was a natural path for Shari and Buddy Higginbotham to open G&H Reclaims.

Shari discovered her interest as a young mother who needed an entertainment center that was not in her budget…

“My very first entertainment center was four chunky short pieces of a tree trunk, two chunky planks of lumber and voila! My first entertainment center with a big television on top shelf a middle shelf, and of course a rocking stereo system with cassette player and large speakers!!

So one day when visiting yet another salvage yard with husband Buddy, this one was a little different, large warehouse with stacks of reclaimed wood, barn wood, live edge slabs, and custom funky furniture building going on, I fell in love right away, looked at Buddy and said this is what I want to do when I grow up.”

Within months Buddy filled a three bay garage full of barn wood, and beams. Next a room addition, actually a warehouse addition and we filled the warehouse with more barn wood, reclaimed flooring, wall and ceiling tongue and groove, vintage doors, hand hewn beams, bowling alley lanes, skating rink flooring and more.
